Application
Outstanding purity, high binding efficiency and excellent rheological control, low lehring temperature. It seems as though every light bulb in every house is being changed from the incandescent bulb to the highly efficient CFL bulb. Phosphor coatings are used when manufacturing fluorescent lamps. Incorporating POLYOX™ and/or ETHOCEL™ as binders in the phosphor coating means clean burn-out, rheological control, and stability across a wide range of pH values.
In the fluorescent lamp manufacturing process sacrificial binders play a crucial role allowing tailoring the rheology of the phosphor coating. Those binders need to provide high binding efficiency, excellent solubility and rheological control combined with high purity and a low lehring temperature.
