TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is a Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) in granular form with a low viscosity of 100 cP. It provides a crystal clear solution free of fibers.
TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA can be utilized in adhesives, agriculture, ceramics, cleaners, coatings, electronics, paper, and textile applications.
Adhesives: TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is commonly used in adhesives to control viscosity and rheology of formulations. It also provides control over the binders migration and general stability of adhesives.
Ceramics: TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is recommended for ceramic glazes application for its improved binding properties. It is also used in ceramic tiles to improve plasticity and crack resistance. TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is also used in clay bodies to improve green strength and plasticity.
Cleaning Solutions: TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is commonly used in household and industrial cleaners. It provides thickening and rheology to a variety of cleaners and detergents.
Coatings and Inks: TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is commonly used in water-based formulations to provide superior thickening and rheology. It is an economical alternative to synthetic polymers for paints and coatings when natural thickeners are preferred.
Electronics and Batteries: TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is used in lithium-ion batteries as an anode binder. It also provides optimum viscosity, suspension, and binding of the actives and conducting additives. It provides improved adhesion to the current collectors.
Paper: TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA can be used in paper coatings. It improves water retention, reduces binders migration and provides superior printing capabilities. It is used in specialty paper as a coating to provide oil resistance to food-contact packaging paper.
Textiles: TEXTURECEL™ 100 GA is used as a rheology modifier and film former for textile fibers. Its main function is to coat or cover the fibers with a CMC film before weaving which would be removed after washing.
